I am a Belgian visual artist working between painting, illustration and graphic experimentation. My work explores space, material, shadow and light. I aim to create dense images where a symbolic dimension is always present.
Since 2022, I have developed a serie of ink drawings inspired by old engraving techniques. Using a metal nib and black ink, I explore texture, repetition and pressure to create illustrations infused with occult tones and mystery. This series allows me to feel the immediacy of the gesture and to experiment with the irreversible nature of non-digital techniques.
This engraving-inspired work is a stage in my research, not an end point. I will continue to paint. I see these approaches as parallel paths, different ways of thinking about form and symbolic resonance. Whether in ink or paint, my practice remains grounded in experimentation and in the desire to understand what images can reveal beyond representation.
